Player guides a young countess Florence Ashford, who is forced to marry Marquise Henry Bucklebury in order to save honor and fortune of her family. She doesn't know him yet, but hopes that she will find the true love with him. After arriving to Bucklebury Manor she also meets handsome Antoine de Landorec, who is visiting Marquise with some business matters. At first she thinks that he is the Marquise, but soon this mistake will be corrected. Henry Bucklebury renders himself as an unpleasant, old man. Moreover he deceived Florence's family and it seems all her sacrifice will be in vain. Main character decides to make a daring escape when she meets Antoine once again. In the course of the development of the friendship, Florence and Antoine fall in love with each other. While moving freely around the manor, Florence encounters hidden objects and solves puzzle riddles. The plot itself is linear, yet game leaves the player certain liberty in order to complete tasks.
